I was born and raised in Miami, FL of Cuban descent. I completed my Bachelor's in Special Education
at Florida International University in 2010 and was a teacher for a few years. I went back to FIU to
complete a dual track Master's in School Counseling and Mental Health and graduated in 2018. After
working a few years as a school counselor in Miami, I got the opportunity to be a school counselor
on Camp Lejeune, a Marine Corps base in North Carolina in 2020. Then, I transitioned into working as
a Substance Abuse counselor on base and am coming up on my 3 year anniversary. It's been a privilege
and an honor to serve the military community and make an impact on brave young men and women. I've
also taken a few flight lessons and am fascinated by being in the skies. Being able to combine my
passion for flying with my passion for helping others is exciting. I look forward to being a part of
